The government has announced Rs. 32,000 crores under the APSHCL and YSR housing Scheme to build a primary school, parks, libraries, and other infrastructure facilities for the YSR Housing scheme colonies.

To qualify for the YSR scheme, applicants must be permanent residents of Andhra Pradesh and not own land in the state.

They must also present their ration cards. The government is also offering free housing to people with disabilities.

YSR Housing scheme

Andhra Pradesh State House Corporation Limited (APSHCL) is responsible for various housing schemes in Andhra Pradesh. It recently floated some of its most popular schemes. In Phase I and Phase II, APSHCL aims to build 15 lakh houses, with the next tranche expected in 2021.

Beneficiaries are provided land and documents for constructing houses and banks are instructed to provide the financial support for building the house. As of March 2018, around 60000 beneficiaries have been identified and 10000 applications have been received.

The APSHCL and YSR Housing schemes are restricted to residents of Andhra Pradesh only. The list of beneficiaries is published online and can be found on the APSHCL and YSR Housing scheme websites.

The first phase of the YSR Pedalandariki Illu Housing Scheme is scheduled to begin on 25 December 2020, and the second phase will continue till June 2022 and 2023, respectively. The

scheme is estimated to create about 13 lakh and 15.1 lakh houses, and will cost between Rs. 1.80 lakh and Rs. 3.80 lakh for a single house. This housing scheme is expected to help poor families, increase the economy of Andhra Pradesh and provide more jobs.

YSR Housing Scheme: Jagananna Colonies

The YSR Jagananna Colonies scheme is one of the biggest layouts in the Kadapa District. The government is providing land to urban and rural people in the area. The area will be enriched with basic infrastructures, such as water supply, electricity, and roads.

The government has also committed to handing over title deeds to beneficiaries within 90 days.

The YSR Jagananna Colonies Scheme has launched construction work in several locations in the state, including Kadapa. The government plans to complete the construction works of 95,549 plots and seventy layouts by 2023.

APSHCL and YSR Housing Scheme: Pedalandariki Illu

The YSR Housing scheme was launched by the Andhra Pradesh government to provide houses to economically weaker sections of society. This scheme aims to provide better housing for the people living in rural areas.

Gunkalam colony

A review of the mega housing schemes was done by Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy. The construction of the housing colonies would result in generating substantial employment for the state.

As per the chief minister, the housing colonies would require the employment of 30 different categories of laborers. As per the plan, the state will be able to generate around 21 crore days of work in the process.

The government will also create joint collector posts in each district to ensure the proper implementation of the YSR Housing Scheme.

The scheme would provide houses to the economically weaker section of society. The government will be working in partnership with the state government to develop the rural areas of the state.

To get a house under this scheme, one needs to be a permanent resident of Andhra Pradesh. The beneficiaries will be families that don’t have a house or those under the APL/BPL category.

Its philanthropic policy continues to help those in need. The company provides loans for up to Rs3-5 lakhs at 25 paise. There are several other benefits to the program, including the same-day registration.

Construction

APSHCL has launched a new housing scheme named YSR Housing scheme in the state. This scheme will provide affordable housing to people with low incomes and a need for more space.

The APSHCL intends to build new colonies that are more convenient to live in and will have efficient underground drainage facilities. In addition, the government is dedicating half an acre of land to support the local farmer by providing cold storage and warehousing.
